The German State Theatre (GSTT) is hosting the latest
production of the Association “Reactor de creație și experiment” from
Cluj-Napoca. The performance “Detaşat”
by Alexandra Voivozeanu,
directed by Cristian Ban will be presented
Friday, the 10th of
November 2017, at 19:30
in the Hall of the German
Theatre.
The performance will be in
Romanian.
The play of the performance „Detașat” is
written by Alexandra Voivozeanu. Direction and scenography are by Cristian Ban. The cast features actors
Alexandra Caras, Cătălin Filip and Lucia Mărneanu. „Detașat” is a
collage comprised of fictionalised tales of Romanians working in Germany, in
constructions and the meat industry, explanations on the migration detachment
system as well as personal insertions. The text focuses on the story of a woman
working in a slaughterhouse in Germany and it features the history of her
departure abroad, what she hopes to find and what she really finds, as well as
the perspective of others (economic agents), that profit material off of her
migration.
The play „Detașat” was written within the project
Drama 5 – dramatic writing residencies. Over the period of a month, six authors
participated in meetings with mentor Alina Nelega, for discussions and
lectures, within the project organized by Reactor de creație
și experiment. The result: six plays, different themes and
approaches, but each talk about current issues that speak to the point of
interest of their authors. Five of them have had weekly lecture-performances at
the Cărturești Library in Cluj, and the 6th was
chosen to be set to stage by director Cristian Ban and premiered on the 1st
of November at Reactor.
Within the same
tour, the performance will also be presented at the National Theatre „Marin Sorescu” in Craiova on the 12th of November and at The
Centre for Educational Theatre Replika in Bucharest on the 14th
of November.
