KAMIKAZE – the final performances in Timişoara
Friday, February 14th, at 7 p.m., in the Studio Hall of the Hungarian State Theatre you have the chance to watch again Christine Cizmaş and Wolf E. Rahlfs (invited from Bruchsal), performing Kami and Cristi's parts in the final performances of the show Kamikaze.

"Kamikaze" is a play with a distinct expression, revolving around unusual people and their frantic attempts to find a balance between their own past, a story of passion allowing no compromise, and of love too late to be shared.

"Stir the wind, let yourself carried away on its wings" is Kami and Cristi's motto, as they wish to feel the taste of absolute freedom. The wedding night represents, however, a moment of drawing the line for Kami and Cristi, both passionate about motorbikes. The past is still present in their thoughts and feelings: the first time they went out, the early days of the relationship, and especially the memory of biker Duke, a former friend of Kami's, and a friend of Cristi's at the same time, who lost his life in an accident.

Kamikaze saw the limelight on April 29th 2007 at the German State Theatre in Timişoara (GSTT), directed by Gavril Cadariu from Târgu-Mureş, being performed for the first time in German. In the same year, the show was included in the selection of the Romanian Drama Festival in Timişoara, and playwright Alina Nelega was distinguished with the European Drama Award at the Heidelberg Market of Plays.

The performance emerged from the partnership with Bruchsal State Theatre (Germany), where it is scheduled to be staged in March 2009.

In Timişoara, the performances are translated simultaneously into Romanian.

Ticket reservations can be made online at www.teatrulgerman.ro or by telephone, at 0256-201291.
