Maria, a young novice, lives isolated in a monastery near Salzburg. Music is her greatest passion, but the nuns fail to understand it. When Mother Superior suggests that she should leave the monastery in order to take care of the seven children of widowed captain von Trapp, Maria reluctantly accepts. That moment, however, marks the beginning of the adventure of her lifetime...

Teh German Theatre has made teh best musical choice, the premiere offering the chance to meet again with Peter Oschanitzky, born in Timişoara, lead conductor of the National Opera in Osijek (Croatia) since 1993, who conducted an orchestra formed by a number of talented musicians from the German Theatre and the National Opera of Timişoara, thus shining light upon the musical gems of this show. The show successfully combines the musical and theatrical performances, thanks to a large number of guests gathered for this project, bus especially thanks to the performance of the German Theatre team."
